Samoei Boys School Surprises All with Exceptional KCSE Results Following Initial Withholding
The relatively unknown Samoei Boys’ Secondary School has achieved commendable results following the release of their Kenya Certificate of Secondary School (KCSE) exam scores.
Situated in Nandi County, the school secured the second position, trailing behind Kapsabet Boys’ Secondary School in the recently disclosed KCSE results, which were initially withheld.
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) finally released the results for these two schools in Nandi County, which had been withheld for two weeks, subsequent to the official announcement by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.
All 292 candidates from the Nandi Hills school have successfully met the criteria for university admission.
Among the students, 35 achieved top scores of A-, while 142 secured B+ grades. Additionally, 96 candidates attained B plain, and the remaining 19 scored B-. In an interview with Kenyans.news, Principal Kiptoo Kimosop praised the dedication, commitment, and hard work demonstrated by the Class of 2023.
The class achieved an impressive mean score of 9.6, securing the second position after Kapsabet Boys, which attained a mean score of 10.2.
“We thank God for the sterling performance of the students. We look forward to greater KCSE results this year,” Kimosop said.
St. Mary Taachasis Girls, a secondary school in Nandi, experienced the withholding of their exam results.
In the Tinderet constituency, the girls’ school achieved a mean score of 7.9 in the 2023 KCSE results, indicating an improvement compared to the previous year.
