Pastor Drops New Song ‘Yesu Ninyandue’ Inspired by Embarambamba’s Unconventional Style
Eldoret-based preacher and gospel artist William Getumbe has recently unveiled his latest song, ‘Yesu Ninyandue’. Inspired by Embarambamba, known for his unconventional music videos involving stunts like tree climbing and animal encounters, Getumbe’s release has stirred both fame and criticism. This follows his prior collaboration with Embarambamba on the track ‘Nyonga’.
Despite facing accusations of seeking attention and resorting to cheap publicity tactics, Getumbe has stood by his creative choices. Responding to queries regarding his unconventional approach, he clarified that he aims to entertain audiences while adapting to evolving trends. “I try to understand my environment,” he stated in an interview with TUKO.co.ke, addressing concerns. He emphasized his commitment to his passion, stating that many things had changed, and he couldn’t persist with the old gospel music style. He expressed his intention to entertain people amidst evolving trends.
In the face of negative feedback, Getumbe remains undeterred, citing unwavering support from his family and relatives. Notably, his mother-in-law emerges as one of his staunchest supporters, actively engaging with his content, including the controversial video where he danced in diapers for the Mzabibu challenge. He added that his relatives comprehend his involvement in the entertainment industry.
“They truly support me. My mother-in-law even liked my most controversial video on Facebook,” he disclosed.
In a separate development, it was reported that Getumbe openly professed his affection for TikTok sensation Njoki Murira, praising her beauty and expressing his desire to marry her as his second wife. He outlined his plans to establish a church where Njoki would serve as an ordained preacher, stating that he had been deeply infatuated with her for a considerable time and confidently asserted his ability to provide for her.
“I will give her everything. I aspire for her to become my second wife, and upon our union, I shall facilitate her ordination as a preacher. Together, we shall establish a church where Njoki will serve as a pastor,” Getumbe conveyed in an interview with TUKO.co.ke.
