Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki Vows to Support President Ruto.

In his inaugural address as Deputy President at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Friday, Prof. Kithure Kindiki emphasized his unwavering loyalty and commitment to President William Ruto’s leadership.

Having been sworn in earlier, Kindiki expressed his readiness to assist the President in managing the challenges that come with governance. He declared his dedication to serving faithfully, aiming to support Ruto and ease the burden of leadership carried by the President.

Kindiki stressed his intention to work tirelessly alongside other colleagues, striving to fulfill his responsibilities and contribute significantly to the administration’s goals.

Prof. Kindiki expressed profound gratitude to President Ruto for entrusting him with the Deputy President’s role. He reflected on his two-decade-long journey of observing and learning from Ruto’s political career.

Kindiki described how closely following the President’s career provided him with invaluable lessons that prepared him for the high office.

He shared his sincere appreciation for Ruto’s mentorship, acknowledging the head of state’s influence on his political growth. Kindiki regarded his new position as the most significant honor of his life and career.

    Acknowledgement of Divine Guidance

The Deputy President recognized God’s role in his success, expressing hope for divine wisdom in carrying out his duties.

He also emphasized the importance of collaboration, vowing to provide continuity and work with his colleagues to ensure the administration’s success. He called for collective efforts to deliver results for the Kenyan people.

Kindiki acknowledged Kenya’s recent political events as evidence of the nation’s democratic strength and institutional effectiveness.

He viewed these developments as a demonstration of the functionality of the country’s democratic systems, aligning with sentiments expressed earlier by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

He also took a moment to appreciate the heroes who contributed to Kenya’s constitutional and democratic achievements, expressing gratitude for the foundation laid by past and present leaders.
